Web Hosting

Hey all! I decided to give a few hints on good web hosting. I have tried a couple of Hosting services, and have come up with a couple of major rules when picking one. One very important thing is % uptime. This is the % of time that your website will be viewable. Now this is not the end-all rule, but it is a biggie. Number two is make sure your web hosting service offers a Control Panel. Without it you will have a very difficult time changing, editing and building your sites. I have begun using HostGator. This service is VERY reliable, and the control panel is very user friendly. DO NOT USE YAHOO!!!! How can a service as well known as Yahoo not have a Control panel? I don't get it, also they offer "free" money to use on their version of Adwords, but they never followed through with their offer. So don't pay them. The best success I have had is with HostGator. Traffic

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Today, I thought I would talk about a very important part of online business, Traffic. Traffic is so important because, if you don't have any people seeing your site, how are you gonna make money? Now, there are several ways to drive traffic to your website. One effective way is with Adwords from Google.
This a very simple way to get traffic, but you have to pay for it. You, first, must set up an account with Google. Then set up your keywords and make an advertisement. The next step is to figure out your budget, because you determine how much you are willing to pay per click through to your website. The amount you are willing to pay per click will determine where your ad will show up, i.e...the more you pay the better or more often your Ads appear. The down side of this technique is that it gets very expensive. Although this is very effective for traffic, your site has to be properly monetized to make it worthwhile.

If you have been involved in internet business for very long at all you have begun or tried to start an email list. This list is used for marketing, correspondence, and all sorts of communications. It is easy to send 5, 10 or even 20 emails a day to prospective customers, but how about a thousand? This is where autoresponders come in.
